Gold, silver prices drop amid stronger dollar

NEW YORK, 14th April, 2026 (WAM) — Gold and silver prices declined today in spot trading, affected by the rise of the dollar.

Gold fell by 0.3% to $4,734.50 per ounce, after recording its lowest level since April 7, while US gold futures dropped by 0.4% to $4,767.40.

Silver decreased by 0.2% to $75.71 per ounce, while platinum rose by 0.3% to $2,050.80, and palladium increased by 3% to $1,566.15.
