Earthquake of magnitude 5.5 strikes Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region

BERLIN, 3rd April, 2026 (WAM) — An earthquake of magnitude ​5.5 struck the ‌Afghanistan-Tajikistan ⁠border ‌region, ⁠the ​German Research ⁠Centre for ⁠Geosciences (GFZ) said ⁠on Friday.

The ⁠quake ​was ⁠at a depth ​of 10 ‌kilometers, ​GFZ said.
