MANAMA, 1st March, 2026 (WAM) — The General Command of Bahrain Defence Force announced that the Kingdom’s air defence systems have successfully intercepted hostile Iranian attacks, shooting down 45 missiles and 9 drones, including Shahed-136 type drones.
The General Command reassured the public that its defensive systems remain fully operational and at the highest state of readiness to address any threats to the security and safety of the nation, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
The General Command further confirmed that specialist field teams are continuing to secure attack sites to ensure the safety of all citizens and residents, reaffirming that its personnel remain vigilant and fully prepared to thwart any aggression targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Accordingly, the General Command urged all members of the public to exercise the utmost caution and vigilance, to remain at home and avoid going out except where absolutely necessary, and to refrain from circulating rumours or inaccurate reports. The public is advised to obtain information exclusively from official sources and to stay well clear of attack sites.
