4.5-magnitude earthquake strikes northern Peru

LIMA, 4th March, 2026 (WAM) — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck today an area located 18 kilometres northeast of the city of Máncora in northern Peru.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 35 kilometres, with no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
